Waarom moet ons ons liggame reinig?

Dit word in die bindweefsel tussen selle gestoor. Bindweefsel kan hierdie skadelike stowwe so sterk bind, dat dit tot 25 jaar in die liggaam geberg kan word.

 

Die lewer is die belangrikste orgaan om gifstowwe & afvalstowwe uit die liggaam te verwyder. As die lewer oorlaai word, soos kenmerkend van die moderne lewe, kan alles nie verwyder word nie & word dit gestoor. Hoe langer & hoe meer gifstowwe & afvalstowwe gestoor word, hoe moeiliker raak dit vir die liggaam om daarvan ontslae te raak.

What influences effectiveness of detoxification?

 

Vitamins, Minerals and trace elements are very important for effective natural detoxification by the liver. If the body is deficient in these, the enzyme systems cannot work effectively and more toxins are stored in the connective tissue. It is therefor important to eat a balanced and healthy diet. Eat as fresh and natural as possible.

 

Stress is a factor which interferes with the natural ability to detoxify. The stress hormone, cortisol, inhibits the body's ability to burn fat and to detoxify. Anything that reduces stress, reduces cortisol and thereby encourages the body's ability to detoxify.

 

Lack of exercise means less oxygen in the body. If more oxygen is available throughout the body, muscle burns fat instead of sugar, for energy. One “byproduct” of the fat burning process is water. Water hydrates cells and washes out excess acid. Encourage oxygen circulation by exercise, deep breathing and laughter.

How to detoxify (in my opinion)

 

Detoxification is not something to do once or twice a year. Detoxification is an ongoing process, as we are living in an environment where our bodies are constantly exposed to toxins, as mentioned earlier in the Afrikaans section. It is a continuous process which supports the natural ability of the body and its systems, to get rid of toxins daily. It is part of a lifestyle.

 

The first way to minimize toxins, is by what you eat. Limit intake of caffeine, refined sugar and any food that has been submitted to chemical processes, alcohol, drugs, most allopathic/conventional medicine, tobacco, synthetic skin care products and household chemicals. Try drinking filtered or mineral water, instead of tap water and drink lots of it. Try to eat natural, raw, organic fruits & vegetables. What you put in, is what you get out.

 

Eat healthy, exercise regularly and try not to stress!
